‘As system leaders themselves, the leaders of teaching schools will recognise the reciprocal benefits of peer-to-peer support, and will be relentless in working to ensure that school-to-school support leads to positive impact, with measurable outcomes, for all groups of pupils’ NCTL 2013
The Anglian Gateway Teaching School Alliance has a proven track record of successful working partnerships with a range of primary and secondary schools. Our approach is collaborative; our support is bespoke and targeted.
Our school to school support packages draw upon the recognised expertise and outstanding practice of middle and senior leaders in our schools, including Specialist, Local and National Leaders of Education. They include:
- improving the quality of teaching
- leadership coaching and mentoring
- coaching and mentoring of recently appointed headteachers
- preparation for Ofsted
- successful data tracking and interventions
- curriculum design
- subject specific support
- support for governors
- support for TAs
Our NLEs and LLEs support schools to strengthen strategic leadership, identifying staff in our own schools who can work alongside others to improve the quality of teaching and learning. Our NLEs and LLEs work as part of a team to deliver high -level strategic plans in areas of leadership, teaching and learning and achievement. We have brokered and delivered packages of support for schools coming out of special measures. Another focus has been to facilitate joint practice development across two schools.
