SUPER Partnership

What is SUPER ?

This stands for School-University Partnership for Educational Research (SUPER). This partnership was created in 1998 by a group of local headteachers and Professors David Hargreaves and Donald McIntyre, in response to a national concern about the perceived lack of impact of the outcomes of educational research upon policy-relevant and practical day to day issues in schools. It was noted that research then was primarily produced by Higher Education Institutions.

Ten schools are currently part of the partnership and they include Bottisham Village College, designated lead school in the Anglian Gateway Teaching School Alliance and Soham Village College, a strategic partner. Many colleagues and their schools have benefitted from our involvement in the SUPER partnership.
